For years I forged my spirit through the study of swordsmanship, confronting every challenge steadfastly. The walls surrounding me suddenly crumbled, like pure dew reflecting the world in crystal clarity, total Awakening has now come.

Where to Find Us

Want to Join?

If you are interested in Kendo at Virginia Tech you can do one of two things. First, email the officers or join and email the listserv. We will be more than happy to help you and answer any questions you have about Kendo. Second, you can attend one of our practices. Check our calendar for times and just drop by. You can watch or participate if you like. Although the pictures posted have us all wearing the traditional gis, you should wear gym clothes and be prepared to go barefoot! Just wear comfortable clothes and be prepared for a little workout.

For Beginners

Beginners are welcome to participate in or watch any of our practices. No need to bring anything, we will supply all equipment during your first sessions. Just wear comfortable clothing and plan on going barefoot if you wish to participate. If you have trouble finding the practices, ask any War Memorial Gym staff for directions or email one of the officers.
